Foundation makes Annual Donation to MGH

The Michael J. Dunleavy Foundation made its annual contribution to Massachusetts General Hospital on November 4, 2016. The money in part helps support Research into new Technologies in the diagnosis and treatment or Cancers. According to Dr... Howard Weinstein at MGH a New Pilot program is currently being discussed that uses "High Technology devices that can detect rare tumor cells in the blood..." and can "analyze by molecular technologies and potentially provide amazing information about response to therapy and development of resistance without having to biopsy the primary tumor". The Foundation is pleased to help fund this type of research in our goal of helping to fight childhood brain cancers. Your support gives us the ability to continue this fight. Out heart felt thanks go out to all of you that help make this possible.

13th Annual Five Mile Walk in Doolin, Co. Clare, Ireland, A Big Success!

The 13th Annual Five Mile Walk in Doolin, Co. Clare, Ireland was once again a big success! Many participants came early to listen to live music provided by local musicians and to mix and meet with others who were on hand for the Charity event. The annual walk begins and ends at Doolin's Russell Cultural Center whose members have been instrumental over the years in organizing the annual event. Young and old alike enjoy the invigorating stroll through the Irish country side as well as the refreshments, raffles and Traditional Irish music following the walk. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Irish Cancer Society in Michael's memory. Our heart felt thanks go out to all the walkers and donors and in particular the tireless volunteers and supporters who help year after year to make this annual event a great success. We thanks you all for joining us and for supporting this worthy cause.
